Nicole Caple, RMT

Nicole owns and operates Newmarket Massage Therapy Clinic with her husband, Stewart Carter, since 2000. She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (class of 1999) and has been practising as a registered massage therapist for over 20 years.  Nicole knew she wanted to be an RMT when she was 16.  She received a massage from a registered therapist and felt such pain relief and relaxation that she thought 'Holy cow, I want to help make people feel that way!'.  It was a revelation to feel better without pain relieving drugs.  Nicole saw the opportunity to help others and be able to teach people about their health so she enrolled in massage therapy schooling as soon as she could and the rest is history!

This is the further training Nicole has:

1999 - certified in Myofascial Pelvis/Osseus Release

2000 - certified in Craniosacral Therapy level 1
2001 - certified in Reiki level 1, 2, Pregnancy Specific Massage Therapy
2003 - Hoffman Quadrinity Process Graduate
2009 - certified in Infant Massage Therapy, certified Infant Massage Instructor
2015 - Bioflex Laser Therapy
2016 - Bioflex Laser Therapy Master Class
2017 - Bioflex Laser Therapy Master Class 25 Anniversary Conference Keynote Speaker

Jessica graduated with honours from the Massage Therapy program at Georgian College in 2009 and has been practising for 10 years.  While on a 6 month volunteering excursion to Tanzania, Africa she had the epiphany that she wanted to change her life entirely and become a massage therapist.  She acted on her intuition, quit her job, and enrolled in the massage therapy program.  Jessica’s passion for her work and her caring attitude with her clients shows that she made the right choice!  She is constantly learning and looking to upgrade her skills and is certified in Acupressure, Reiki levels 1 and 2, and Dolphin (yes, it's called that - ask Jess what it is!) to further serve her clients' massage therapy needs.

Further training Jessica has:

2010 - Cupping massage technique
2012 - Acupressure
2013 - Reiki Levels 1 & 2
2016 - Walt-Fritz's Myofascial Release
2016 - MPS intro course
2016 - MPS advanced circuits
2017 - MPS advanced scars and trauma

Maria graduated from CCMH as well (there seems to be a trend here!) and has been practising for 12 years. Sat graduated from the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy in 2012. She emigrated from England in 2007. Having worked in a busy stressful corporate world for many years, massage for relaxation, stress and muscular pain became a way of life for her. She soon realized the long-term physical and emotional benefits and so decided to learn more about the art of massage therapy. Sat has been an RMT for over 6 years with experience in spa and clinic settings. You'll leave her treatment feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and thoroughly restored!  There's also just something entirely soothing about her lovely British accent ;)

Sat's further training:

2015 - Hot and Cold Stone Massage
2015 - Myofascial Release certification
2016 - Bioflex Laser Therapy
2017 - Table Thai Massage
2017 - Reiki Levels 1 & 2

Alicia graduated from Centennial College and has been an RMT for 16 years.  Before coming to Newmarket Massage she worked at a physiotherapy clinic for 15 years and has experience working with clients who have been in car accidents, post surgery, and post injury as well as general relaxation treatments.  She incorporates myofascial release into her treatments and finds that it helps clients to let go of tension and decrease their pain.  This year, Alicia took a myofascial release course focussed on neck, voice, and swallowing disorders and has been excited to see how it is helping her clients.  Alicia is passionate about educating and supporting pregnant women.  In 2017, she trained to become a doula.  She loves helping pregnant women to experience a pain-free pregnancy through massage therapy and Spinning Babies techniques, while also teaching and educating them on pregnancy and birth and the importance of advocating for themselves.

Alicia's further training:

2018 -  certified in Bioflex laser therapy

Sabina graduated from Georgian College's Massage Therapy program and is the newest member of our team.  Her desire to help others began with a career in teaching in 2004, but after several years of being a caregiver to people with chronic pain, she discovered how powerful and healing therapeutic touch can be.
Sabina believes massage is a sacred practice and should be approached with humility, intention, and gratitude.  She is passionate about her work; learning new modalities to help her clients, and in her free time she loves spending time in the mountains.

Sabina's further training:

2018 - certified in Bioflex laser therapy

Alex graduated from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2006 and has been practicing as an RMT for 14 years.  Alex is known for her intuitive touch, skilled hands, and an empathetic approach to providing a treatment unique to each client's needs with both therapeutic and relaxation massage therapy.  Her caring and positive attitude makes her easy to talk to and puts her clients at ease.  In her spare time, Alex enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and children.

Chloe is a graduate of Georgian College's Massage Therapy program.  She also obtained a Bachelor's of Life Sciences Degree with Honours in Biology and Psychology at the University of Toronto.  While working with other knowledgable health care professionals, she has treated a variety of conditions through massage and remedial therapy including but not limited to acute or chronic pain, sports-related injuries, neurological, pre and post operative, long-term care, pre-natal, and post natal.  Chloe has experience with deep tissue massage, sports therapy, trigger point therapy, connective tissue treatments and Swedish Massage.  She is dedicated to providing quality care through continued participation in professional development courses.

Helen graduated from Wellsprings College in Richmond Hill in 2010.  She loves anything and everything to do with people, health, and the body.  Helen's always been interested in the innate intelligence and healing of the body; how it functions in the presence of various stressors, and how individuals subjectively view their own health.  She's experienced in traditional Swedish Massage and uses myofascial release, passive stretching/fascial stretching and Trigger Point Therapy in a flowing, capable and very effective manner to reduce pain comfortably and increase range of motion and promote optimum relaxation.  She's skilled at providing stress relieving massage to treat headaches, migraines, chronic tension and pain, as well as injuries at any stage.  Helen is also a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach - bringing a wholistic view to all of her treatments when warranted or requested.  Helen can create a custom treatment and provide home care exercises to work towards achieving maximum treatment result potentials.  Helen looks forward to continuing her education to add to her already diverse repertoire!
